Focus and Scope
MENA Journal of case reports focuses on publishing high-quality case reports, case series, case studies,
N of 1 trials, meta-analyses of published case reports, reviews on case reporting, retrospective studies with case-specific information for patients, commentary, short communications and letter to the editor conducted by early career researchers, graduate, undergraduate students, medical doctors, nurses and individuals working in the field of medical sciences (genetic counselors, geneticists, patient coordinators etc.). Topics of interest include:
- Unusual presentations, diagnoses and management of disease
- Unexpected or novel associations in disease processes or symptoms
- Unreported side effects or adverse events involving medications
- Cases of rare diseases
- Unexpected event during treatment of patients
- Genetic or biological findings that shed light on possible novel pathogenesis associated with a disease or adverse effect
Through this focus, the journal seeks to provide an international forum for early-career researchers, students, medical doctors and individuals from the medical field working in the MENA and other regions to contribute to global dissemination of evidence-based practices and research.
